Good morning. Take a peek at http://www.dogerus.com
I am a backend software engineer, who is - as you will soon see, very bad at picking nice colors for websites.
And I am also an Aussie redditor that has been fiddling with crypto for some time and have decided that I'm throwing my hat into the ring. The nature of my hat, currently, is a secure local Dogecoin exchange, loosely based on similar sites in the bitcoin community.
The site has been designed from the ground up, to work reliably, simply and across a range of different browsers. It should work equally well on your desktop, as it does on a tablet, and again on a mobile phone.
The site supports two factor, is load balanced, SSL is always on, and the wallet is decoupled from the primary website. Keeping all your glorious Ð safe and the site up.
Having watched many cryptocurrency sites, including dogecoin fall victim to "bad stuff"TM, I have tried to tailor Doge"R"Us as a local exchange, where people have a reasonable way to protect their Ð and receive a reliable service in the long term.
So you're reading the "up to a point" and your ears twitched. Most people understand an exchange with no transaction fees can be damaging to the community. It is a mechanism that rewards sellers who shill buy from themselves, as a way to elevate their own Feedback or Ranking. It erodes trust in the community and rewards "bad guys". So my solution is a simple one, for those people who want to move larger volumes of Ð, they can enable Merchant Tools. Right now, it offers the following basic features:
On the money side, the floating price is based on:

PHP and using third party APIs

I've been looking for some beginner tutorials and how to work with 3rd party APIs, can someone recommend any good tutorials or tips for beginners?
I came across this, which was somewhat helpful but quite old:
http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/creating-an-api-centric-web-application--net-23417
EDIT: For example, I am looking to use this API and make a form that converts USD amounts into it's equivalent Bitcoins amount.
https://openexchangerates.org/
The question I have would be how do I set this up in PHP? And if there are tutorials that go over how to do this, at least in the basic sense for someone that's never worked with 3rd party APIs before.

[SS] DogeRUs - A new site that facilitates the trading of Dogecoins for cash/Paypal

Apologies guys if this is against the rules but I recall one of the mods here saying that he supported different ways of trading Dogecoin without the risk of geting scammed. If this still holds true then I can't see why this post should be flagged. Well here goes!
